An apparatus 10 for teaching a language comprising a plurality of blocks 18, a collapsible container, and one or more support members 18a, 18b, 18c, each block having one or more indicia displayed thereon. The collapsible container comprises a base panel 12, and first 16a, second 16b, third 16c and fourth 16d side panels, the side panels being independently hingedly connected to the base panel 12. Co-operating releasable fastening means 20a, 22a, 24a, 26 are provided on the panels, enabling the panels to be assembled and releasably held in the shape of a cube or cuboid. The blocks 18 may be stacked within the collapsible container in a number of layers, with one of the support members 18a, 18b, 18c being disposed beneath each layer. A top panel 14 may be hingedly connected to one of the side panels and may have a releasable fastening means 24 to releasably connect it to the side panel opposite the side panel to which it is hingedly connected. |
