PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lubricant oil with small rate of change in viscosity in a wide range of temperatures (high viscosity index), low viscosity even at low temperatures, good conductivity and good resistance to volatility.SOLUTION: An aliphatic bivalent alcohol diester having a structure shown by general formula (1) is used for the lubricant oil, [in the formula, Rand Rare the same or different and a residue obtained by removing a carboxy group from a 3-17C straight or branched chain aliphatic saturated monocarboxylic acid, A represents a residue obtained by removing hydroxy group from a 4-10C straight or branched chain aliphatic diol and B represents a group shown by general formula (a), (b) or (c)]. |
