<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a centrifugal compressor which contributes to its downsizing and includes a planer member adaptable to a compressor with a single-stage compression type structure. <P>SOLUTION: The centrifugal compressor includes: an impeller 41 sucking refrigerant by its rotation; a rotary shaft 26 connected to the impeller 41 and making the impeller 41 rotate; and a thrust magnetic bearing 28 restricting the impeller 41 in an axial direction of the rotary shaft 26.
