The purpose of the present invention is to provide a method for producing a carbon-containing structure material in a large amount, at high quality and at low production cost. The present invention produces a carbon-containing structure material (9) by bringing a liquid metal (2) into contact with a carbon material base (5) containing a carbon material (1), heating the metal (2) to cause the dissolution of carbon (3) contained in the carbon material (1) in the metal (2), and cooling the liquid metal (2) to cause the precipitation of carbon contained in the liquid metal (2) onto the surface of the carbon material base (5) to thereby coat the surface of the carbon material base (5). |
