The invention provides an ink-jet recording device capable of inhibiting the warp of the sheet material near the nozzle without affecting the detection on the end part of the sheet material along the width direction. A recording head (39) is disposed on a sliding rack (23), and is used to spray the ink droplets on a piece of recording paper (12). A medium sensor (110) is disposed on the upstream side of the sliding rack (23) closer to the transmission direction than the nozzle (40), and is used to detect the recording paper (12) on an embossing plate (42). A first abutting part (80A) is disposed on the upstream side closer to the transmission direction (16) than the nozzle (40). The downstream side of the transmission direction of the first abutting part (80A) is disposed on the recording paper (12) of a paper carrying plate (20), and the two ends of the scanning direction of the smallest sheet material of the shortest length of the scanning direction are close to the corresponding area of the inner side, and can be extended to the position overlapped with the detection area of the medium sensor (110) along the transmission direction (16). |
