<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid ejection device or the like for ejecting liquid from a nozzle, in which flushing action for successful liquid ejection can be efficiently carried out according to the kind of a medium to which liquid is ejected. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid ejection device includes: a conveyance section for conveying a medium to which liquid is ejected; a head portion provided with a nozzle for ejecting liquid to the conveyed medium to which liquid is ejected; and a control section for controlling the conveyance section and the head portion. When the control section carries out flushing action ejecting the liquid to the medium to which liquid is ejected from the nozzle, a flushing image is formed on the medium on which liquid is ejected, by the liquid ejection according to the kind of the medium to which liquid is ejected, and a control is performed such that dots formed by the ejection of the liquid are overlapped with each other in at least a partial area of the flushing image. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
