PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hot water storage water heater having a heat insulation structure capable of preventing degradation in the transportation efficiency of a heat insulating material, reducing the probability of damage, and improving adhesion to a hot water storage tank.SOLUTION: A hot water storage water heater comprises: a cylindrical hot water storage tank 2 storing hot water; and a heat insulating material 3 serving as a non-vacuum heat insulating material covering a surface of the hot water storage tank 2. The heat insulating material 3 includes a plurality of strip cross-sectional shape parts (first circular arc bodies) 6a each having a circular arc surface along a cylindrical surface of the hot water storage tank 2 as an inner surface; and a plurality of strip cross-sectional shape parts (second circular arc body) 6b each having a circular arc surface wider than the circular arc surface of each of the strip cross-sectional shape parts 6a, and the cross-sectional shape parts 6a and the cross-sectional shape parts 6B are alternately arranged and connected in a short length direction. An inner surface-side slit 5a extending toward an inner surface and an outer surface-side slit 5b extending toward an outer surface are formed in a connection between each cross-sectional shape part 6a and each cross-sectional shape part 6b, and the heat insulating material 3 is disposed to closely attach the circular arc surfaces of the cross-sectional shape parts 6a and 6b to the cylindrical surface of the hot water storage tank 2. |
