Embodiments of the present invention disclose a service advertisement message transmission method and device, which are used to ensure service discovery efficiency and improve media utilization efficiency. The method in the embodiments of the present invention includes: generating, by a first device, a first service advertisement message, where the first service advertisement message includes first service information of the first device and second service information of a second device; the second service information is obtained by the first device from a received message sent by the second device; the first service information is used to enable a device in a communication range of the first device to learn service information of the first device; and the second service information is used to enable a device in a communication range of the second device to learn service information of the second device; and sending, by the first device, the first service advertisement message. |
