The present invention relates to a midsole having functions of shock absorption and rebound resilience and a method for preparing the midsole, and more specifically, to a midsole having functions of shock absorption and rebound resilience which not only has excellent mechanical properties and durability, but also enables foaming to be performed well in accordance with the form of the mold by diversely arranging pellets in a mold, and a method for preparing the midsole. In a midsole prepared from pellets for foam forming comprising a first pellet and a second pellet, the midsole having functions of shock absorption and rebound resilience according to the present invention is characterized in that the first pellet is formed by mixing additives with a polymer substrate comprised of 40 to 70 PHR (parts per hundred rubber) of a hydrogen added styrene-butadiene-styrene resin and 30 to 60 PHR of ethylene vinyl acetate, and the second pellet is formed by mixing raw material resins comprising 40 to 70 PHR of ethylene vinyl acetate and 30 to 60 PHR of ethylene propylene rubber.
