The present invention relates to a shower head. The shower head of the present invention comprises a lower plate wherein multiple discharge holes are formed to discharge water and an upper plate connected to a shower pipe where water is supplied and forming an internal space by being joined to the lower plate, additionally includes a plate-shaped middle plate formed between the upper and lower plates, partitioning the internal space of the shower head into an upper space and a lower space, and having an opening and closing unit opened and closed by water pressure. In addition, the opening and closing unit includes: a packing seating part protruding from the top surface of the middle plate to be integrated and including a cavity unit to enable water in the upper space to flow to the lower space; an airtight packing unit installed inside the packing seating part and having a cut unit on the top surface to smoothly open and close the upper space using water pressure; and a hollow pressurizing part pressurizing the circumference of the airtight packing unit while being inserted into the packing seating part to prevent the separation of the airtight packing unit. Accordingly, according to the present invention, the opening and closing unit is opened by water pressure when water flows in through the shower pipe by opening a faucet valve, thus an effect of discharging the water through the discharge holes is obtained. In addition, the opening and closing unit is closed when the water supply is cutoff by closing the faucet valve, thus an effect of preventing discharge of the water remaining in the shower pipe and the upper space to the outside is obtained. Moreover, the middle plate is applicable to the shower head used in the past and is easily detachable. The structure of the middle plate is simple, thus an effect of reducing manufacturing costs is obtained as well. |
