PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safe and effective diarrhea inhibitor for irritable bowel syndrome and an abdominal pain reducer for irritable bowel syndrome, and to provide a safe and effective ameliorating agent for hyperalgesia in large intestine.

SOLUTION: There are provided a diarrhea inhibitor for irritable bowel syndrome, an abdominal pain reducer for irritable bowel syndrome, and an ameliorating agent for hyperalgesia in large intestine, containing β-1,3-glucan.
