A surge protector according to the present invention comprises: a first capacitor which is connected between a signal input port and a signal output port and passes an RF signal; a first inductor for an RF choke which is connected between the signal input port and the first capacitor and passes DC power; a second inductor for the RF choke which is connected between the signal output port and the first capacitor and passes the DC power; a second capacitor which is connected between the first inductor for the RF choke and a ground and induces RF signals to high impedance; a third capacitor which is connected between the second inductor for the RF choke and the ground and induces the RF signals to the high impedance; and a time-division discharging circuit which connects multiple discharging circuits between the second capacitor and the third capacitor, and induces a surge voltage to the ground. The surge protector according to the present invention connects the time-division discharging circuit which sets a different operating voltage and a time constant for multiple discharging elements. Therefore, when the surge voltage is inputted, the protector controls an operation of each of discharging elements depending on the time constant, thereby reducing the surge voltage which is handled by each discharging element, and extending useful life of the discharging elements. |
