One aspect of the present invention provides a rechargeable battery which accepts, in a pouch, the length variation in an electrode assembly when a bending stress is applied to a stacked electrode assembly. The rechargeable battery according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises: an electrode assembly which stacks a first electrode, a separator, and a second electrode, and fixates the first electrode, the separator, and the second electrode on a fixing unit in one side; a case which has flexibility and accommodates the electrode assembly; and a margin unit which is set between one end of the electrode assembly and an inner surface of the case, and accepts the length variation in a free end of the electrode assembly which is bendable. |
