摘要
659,517. Eyeglasses. HANSEN, A. H. May 16, 1949, No. 13008. [Class 97 (i)] An eyeglass frame comprises a bridge 13 rigidly interconnecting two lenses 10, nose pads 12 connected to the lenses for engaging the sides of the wearer's nose, and a pair of spring members 15 connected at one end to the lenses and curving upwardly in diverging directions so that the free ends thereof will engage the superorbital foramina of the wearer and exert downward pressure to hold the frame in position. As shown, the lenses are supported by partial rims 11 to which the bridge, nose pads and members 15 are attached. Alternatively the pads 12 may each be pivoted to a member 14, attached to the rim and also carrying the member 15 and prongs 18 permitting manual adjustment. In a modification the rims are omitted and the bridge is attached at each end to the lenses by straps. The nose pads and members 15 are attached to the bridge.
