The present invention relates to a mortise which has a dead bolt and a latch bolt to firmly keep a door in a closed state when locking the door and enables a user to easily open the door when opening the door. The present invention comprises: a dead bolt driving unit which is operated by a door lock; a dead bolt unit which includes the dead bolt which can be inserted into and removed out of a striker by the dead bolt driving unit and determines a locked state and an unlocked state; and a latch bolt unit which includes the latch bolt which is fixed and unfixed by the dead bolt unit. The dead bolt and the latch bolt are inserted into the striker in a nonoperative state to faithfully play an anti-theft role when the door is closed and in the locked state. It is possible to promote anti-theft reliability because fixing force is increased by fixing the latch bolt unit by using the two components of the dead bolt unit and a latch bolt fixing unit. The mortise does not cause an error by simplifying the device and is capable of operating in a non-electric power mode. |
