A control device for activating an oxygen system of a means of transport, the control device comprising: a first activation unit which is configured to activate at least a part of the oxygen system by wireless transmission of a first activation signal; a second activation unit which is configured to activate said at least part of the oxygen system by wired transmission of a second activation signal; and a controller is configured to send an activation instruction to the first activation unit and the second activation unit; wherein, upon the controller sending an activation instruction the first activation unit and the second activation unit, the first activation signal and the second activation signal are transmitted to said at least part of the oxygen system.
