Methods are disclosed for treating osteoarthritis in a human subject in need thereof, comprising administering to the subject a therapeutically effective amount of an anti-human NGF antibody, or antigen-binding fragment thereof, wherein at least one symptom associated with osteoarthritis is prevented, ameliorated or improved.

1. A method for ameliorating, improving or inhibiting osteoarthritic pain in a human subject in need thereof, comprising:
administering to the subject a therapeutically effective amount of an anti-human NGF antibody, or antigen-binding fragment thereof, wherein at least one symptom associated with osteoarthritic pain is inhibited, ameliorated or improved, wherein the antibody or antigen-binding fragment thereof comprises: the three heavy chain CDRs (HCDR1, HCDR2 and HCDR3) contained within any one of the heavy chain variable region (HCVR) sequences encoded by a nucleic acid sequence selected from the group consisting of SEQ ID NOs: 3, 19 and 23; and three light chain CDRs (LCDR1, LCDR2 and LCDR3) contained within any one of the light chain variable region (LCVR) sequences encoded by a nucleic acid sequence selected from the group consisting of SEQ ID NOs: 11, 21 and 25.
