The purpose of the present invention is to provide a separator for a secondary battery using a binder for improving cycle characteristics while simultaneously having high heat resistance and strong adhesion; and a secondary battery including the same. According to an embodiment of the present invention, provided is a separator for a secondary battery, which includes a substrate and a coating layer formed on at least one surface of the substrate. The coating layer includes a binder including acrylic resin. The binder including the acrylic resin includes carboxyl group-containing acryl monomers and acrylic acid derivative monomers. The carboxyl group-containing acryl monomers and the acrylic acid derivative monomers are mixed at a molar ratio of 20:80 to 80:20. The binder for a secondary battery has high heat resistance and strong adhesion, and can simultaneously improve cycle characteristics. |
