PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fire protection/firefighting equipment and method of a tank with an inside floating lid or a floating roof-type tank in which an inert gas or a foam fire-extinguishing chemical water solution is discharged and diffused in a wide range from one outlet, especially when detecting a predetermined extreme vibration or more, the inert gas is injected immediately, and the suppression of fire occurrence and initial fire extinguishing are made possible.SOLUTION: A fire protection/firefighting equipment and method of a flammable liquid storage tank is configured as follows: a blowing-up prevention/spread plate for diffusing an inert gas or a foam fire-extinguishing chemical water solution discharged from the outlet provided on the upper surface of a tank for storing a flammable or combustible liquid with an inside floating lid, or an inside floating lid of a floating roof-type tank or a floating roof, along a tank liquid level, or along the inside floating lid or the surface of the floating roof is provided on the upper part of the outlet; a regular inert gas generation mechanism is connected to the inlet through on-off valve; and the inert gas can immediately be injected when a seismic intensity meter detects a predetermined extreme ground motion or more.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
