PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protector with a sensor that can prevent occurrence of damage and the like caused by abutting of a foreign substance.SOLUTION: A protector with a sensor is fitted to a slide door 1 and detects presence of a foreign substance by bringing conductive parts 34, 35 provided at a hollow part 12 across a space part 53 into contact with each other. Conductive parts 54, 55 consist of a hollow lower conductive part 55 provided on the side of a fitting base 11 and a hollow upper conductive part 54 provided on a tip side. An in-vehicle side end 53a and an out-vehicle side end 53b of the space part 53 are arranged in a shape of being directly continuously connected to an inner peripheral surface of the hollow part 12. A cover layer 100 is formed, which covers at least an outer peripheral surface of an outer shell of the hollow part 12 where the in-vehicle side end 53a and out-vehicle side end 53b of the space part 53 are directly continuously connected to the inner peripheral surface.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
