PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a construction method for a cylindrical tank, in which working stability is improved by avoiding trouble resulting from the horizontal shake of an inner tank at its roof side due to wind or the like.SOLUTION: The construction method is provided for the cylindrical tank having the metallic inner tank and a concrete outer tank. It includes a step of assembling an annular knuckle part, a step of providing a plurality of knuckle supports in the peripheral direction of the knuckle part, a step of providing the knuckle supports with respective extensive stretch jacks opposed to the side wall of the outer tank, and a step of lifting the knuckle part up using a plurality of jack-up devices and mounting an inner tank side plate to the lower side of the lifted-up knuckle part to assemble the inner tank. In the step of assembling the inner tank, during lifting the knuckle part up, the stretch jacks are elongated to be stretched between the side wall of the outer tank and each of the knuckle supports until the knuckle part is fixed to the side wall of the outer tank.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 |
