PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gear change control device of an automatic transmission which can suppress the generation of a gear change shock at a highland.SOLUTION: Engine torque is estimated, and engagement initial pressure supplied to a clutch C3 is controlled by using the estimated engine torque. The engagement initial pressure of the clutch C3 is learnt so that the engagement initial pressure of the clutch C3 reaches a value which is suitable for actual engine torque, and a time after the generation of a gear change command up to the lowering of a turbine rotation number to a third-speed stage reaches a target time. Therefore, in a stage in which the learning of the engagement initial pressure of the clutch C3 is progressed, the generation of a gear change shock at the engagement of the clutch C3 is suppressed even if the estimated engine torque and the actual engine torque are deviated from each other. Then, a learning width at the learning of the engagement initial pressure of the clutch c3 is variably set according to air pressure.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
