PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal grating that is free from paint stripping and severe corrosion in a nonstationary environment of high temperature hot water supposed at the time of designing, and is superior in abrasion resistance and hardness in the ordinary use environment.SOLUTION: There is provided a lightweight metal grating for use in a nuclear reactor containment that uses aluminium alloy formed of Al-Mg alloy of JIS A5000 system or Al-Mg-Si alloy of JIS A6000 system as a base material, and is superior in corrosion resistance under a high temperature and high pressure vapor environment. Also provided is a lightweight metal grating for use in nuclear reactor containment in which the aluminium alloy used as a base material and an oxide film of 10 μm to 150 μm thickness is formed on the upper layer of the base material by alumite treatment, and which is superior in corrosion resistance and abrasion resistance under a high temperature and high pressure vapor environment.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
