PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric heater capable of preventing scalding by a heat shield guard plate while preventing a floor from being overheated even when a heat generation body is placed in an elevation angle state.SOLUTION: An electric heater such that a body case part 5 comprising a reflecting plate 6 arranged behind a heat generation body 2 and a guard body 7 installed to cover the front of the heat generation body 2 can be set to be variable in up/down angle is provided with a heat shield guard plate 14 with its upper end below a lower end of a read heat part of the heat generation body 2 inside the guard body 7, so when a heating operation is performed with the body case part 5 in a substantially horizontal state or elevation angle state, heat from the red heat part nearby the lower end of the heat generation body 2 is not cut off by the heat shield guard plate 14, but radiated to the front of the body case part 5, and when the heating operation is performed with the body case part 5 in the elevation angle state, heat from the red heat part nearby the lower end of the heat generation body 2 is cut off by the heat shield guard part 14 to prevent a floor from discoloring and deforming.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
