PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To switch ON/OFF of a home electrical device simply and at low cost and improve user's convenience, in accordance with whether or not a mobile phone terminal exists within a communication zone of an existing fixed telephone which is connected to a fixed telephone network and can be communicated with another fixed telephone.SOLUTION: In a monitoring system, a master unit which is connected to a fixed telephone network and can be communicated with another fixed telephone is set to be in an operation mode of a power supply device when a mobile phone terminal is positioned within a radio communication zone of the master unit, and is set to be in an operation stop mode of the power supply device when the mobile phone terminal is not positioned within the radio communication zone of the master unit. The power supply device is connected to an electric device which is provided in a home, supplies power to the electric device, when being set to be in the operation mode by the master unit, and does not supply power to the electric device, when being set to be in the operation stop mode by the master unit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8 |
