The present invention relates to a map display method considering priorities to improve the map display speed. When displaying a web-based vector map using HTML5 API by displaying the map while changing the amount of map data to be displayed in consideration to a movement direction of a vehicle from a point of view towards the map view; the map view display method considering the priorities to improve the map display speed enables fast and flexible map display. The map display method considering the priorities to improve the map display speed of the present invention comprises: a first step of determining priorities in an order of a basic display feature, an on-route display feature, and a direction-considered display feature in accordance with the importance of the display features priorities and loading map data into a map database according to priorities; a second step of dividing a display screen where the map data is to be displayed into a plurality of virtual areas, a location area, a direction area, and an additional area based on a route; and a third step of displaying the display features loaded in the map database separately for the virtual areas. |
