PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recording device which suppresses adhesion of foreign objects to a nozzle with a simple structure.SOLUTION: An ink jet recording device includes a guide member in which a plurality of grooves 321 and a plurality of through-holes 322 are formed. The ink jet recording device includes: a space formation member 35; and a recording head 34a. The guide member guides a recording object medium from a first area to a second area. The space formation member 35 faces the guide member in the first area to form a foreign object recovery space between itself and the guide member. The recording head 34a faces the guide member in the second area. The plurality of grooves 321 include a plurality of first grooves 321a. Each first groove 321a extends from the first area (an area below the space formation member 35) to a position more on the upstream side from the second area (an area below the recording head 34a) with respect to a first direction X.
