PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the safety of a vehicle incorporated with a rechargeable battery using power from an external charge device.SOLUTION: In a case where a failure diagnosis for positive pole-side and negative pole-side charging relays is not completed after completing external charging of a battery, a power management ECU of a hybrid vehicle executes a failure diagnosis for the positive pole-side and negative pole-side charging relays (S260-S290) on condition of a contact to a power reception connector being impossible when a system activation instruction is issued (S220-S250), and, depending on a result of the failure diagnosis, shifts the hybrid vehicle to a travel enabled state or travel inhibited state.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
