PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing system, reading device, information processing device, and information processing method that prevent illegal data reading.SOLUTION: A reading device can be connected to an information processing device connected with a server device. The reading device includes an authorization unit, a processing unit, and a transmission unit. The authorization unit obtains a shared key by performing authentication and key-exchange processing with the server device. The processing unit obtains confidential information and encrypts the confidential information by using the shared key.
