PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a device to assign itself an appropriate role as a host or a slave.SOLUTION: A terminal assigns itself the role as a host or a slave (S24, S34). If the role as a slave is assigned (yes at S10), the terminal identifies, according to information on terminal priority, one of other terminals that are assigned the role as a host (host candidate terminals) and submits a connection request to the terminal identified as a host candidate (S18). If the terminal itself becomes a host candidate terminal (no at S10), the terminal re-assigns itself the role as a slave when receiving no connection request from other terminals for a prescribed time (S34).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
