PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevating type guard device for a press machine capable of certainly supporting and smoothly elevating in a multi-stage type guard, and a press device using that.SOLUTION: An elevating type guard device 1, is composed of a fixed tooth row portion 6; a suspending member 2a; a driving device 2 which pulls up/feeds out the suspending member; a lower guard 3 which is suspended by the suspending member, guided so as to elevate along a frame, and provided with moving tooth raw portions 3a near both sides; and an upper guard 4 which is journaled with gears 4a meshed with the fixed tooth raw portion and the moving tooth row portions near both sides of a lower end, and disposed between the frame and the lower guard. If the driving device pulls the suspending member, the lower guard is raised, and the gears of the upper guard roll upward with the rise of the moving tooth row portions while meshing with the fixed tooth row portion. The upper guard rises by a shorter distance than that of the lower guard.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
