PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roller that is easily manufactured.SOLUTION: With an inner hole on both ends of a trunk member 20 that is formed into a pipe and is made of a metal, an engagement portion 32 of a shaft member 30 is engaged. Into both a penetrate hole 22 provided in the trunk member and a shaft side pin insertion portion 34 provided in the shaft member, a pin 40 is inserted and set there, the pin being formed of a material softer than that of the shaft member, and a material softer than that of the trunk member or the same material as that of the trunk member, and having a diameter smaller than those of both the penetrating hole and the shaft side pin insertion portion. By plastic deformation of the pin so as to enlarge the diameter of the pin, a plastic deformation body 41 does not allow movement of an end of the shaft member with respect to the trunk member in both an axial direction and a rotation direction to couple the end of the shaft member with the trunk member.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
