PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce color unevenness while facilitating further reduction in thickness of a planar lighting device.SOLUTION: In a white LED for configuring a dot-like light source 14, light emitted in a direction inclined to an optical axis from a light emitting surface 14a tends to assume yellow tinge as an angle with the optical axis becomes larger, and also, it tends to emit from a region close to an incident surface 12c of an emission surface 12a of a light guide plate 12. This light which assumes yellow tinge is absorbed by an emission direction front portion of the light from the light emitting surface 14a of the dot-like light source 14, when a circuit board 16 is viewed in a plan view, and a second coverlay film 26 configured by a black member exposed to a portion between a pair of land parts. Therefore, out of the light entering the incident surface 12c of the light guide plate 12, a ratio of the light which assumes yellow tinge and emitted in the direction inclined to the optical axis from the light emitting surface 14a of the dot-like light source 14 decreases. As a result, alleviating the color unevenness of a planar lighting device 10 becomes possible while facilitating further reduction in thickness of the planar lighting device 10.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
