PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dispense with or simplify a content change of a program corresponding to an individual difference of a motor being a disturbance in the manufacturing of an electric automobile by dispensing with the matching of the motor and the drive program at the manufacturing of the electric automobile, or at the exchange of a motor drive unit at maintenance in a market, or at the exchange of the motor, to avoid an unexpected constant change, and to secure safety.SOLUTION: A motor drive unit 3 of an electric automobile drives a motor 2 being a traveling drive source of the electric automobile 1, and has: storage means 14 which stores constants for use in the control of the motor 2; an external communication interface 18 which is connectable and releasable with respect to an external connection device 17; and constant setting processing means 19 for setting a defined constant being a particular value to an individual of the motor 2 out of the constants stored in the storage means 14 from the external connect device 17.
