PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem in which: each tray and articles mounted on the trays are damaged, deformed or fall by receiving large impact force when a subsequent tray collides with regulation members and a preceding tray in an article accumulation device.SOLUTION: An article accumulation device includes: accumulation conveyors 37a to 37i for accumulating a plurality of trays 1 on which each of articles A is mounted; regulation members 41a to 41i for regulating the conveyance of the trays 1 at prescribed portions on the accumulation conveyors 37a to 37i; detection members 43a to 43i for detecting the presence or absence of the trays 1 on a feed upstream side of the regulation members 41a to 41i on the accumulation conveyors 37a to 37i; and a controller 50 for decelerating driving speed of the accumulation conveyors 37a to 37i before a subsequent tray 1 collides with the regulation members 41a to 41i or a preceding tray 1 on the basis of the detection information on the detection members 43a to 43i.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
