PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sizing agent for quartz glass fiber without needs for heating deoiling and good in slipperiness and solder heat resistance, a quartz glass fiber or a quartz glass yarn and quartz glass cloth to which the sizing agent is applied, a prepreg for printed wiring board and a product using the quartz glass fiber and a manufacturing method of the quartz glass cloth.SOLUTION: There is provided a sizing agent for quartz glass fiber consisting of a solution containing a water soluble urethane resin, a silane coupling agent and a wax and satisfying 2.5 wt.%≥A+B+C≥0.5 wt.% and 0.35≥C/(A+B)≥0.05, where A is wt.% of a solid content of the water soluble urethane resin, B is wt.% of the silane coupling agent and C is wt.% of the solid content of the wax.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
