The present invention relates to a method for diagnosing a failure in a dual clutch transmission (DCT) that is able to diagnose a failure due to a defective synchronization of a gear when there is no output axis speed sensor and to increase reliability of the result of failure diagnosis. To this end, the method comprises: a first calculating step to calculate the difference between a first input axis speed and a wheel speed, which is outputted by reflecting a speed change gear ratio in the first input axis speed; a second calculating step to calculate the difference between a second input axis speed and a wheel speed, which is outputted by reflecting the speed change gear ratio in the second input axis speed; and a first failure diagnosing step to, when the difference calculated by the first calculating step exceeds a first standard value and the difference calculated by the second calculating step equals or is lower than a second standard value, determine that the synchronization of a speed change gear of the first input axis is defective. |
