PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel battery single cell which enables the enhancement in adhesion of a cathode while suppressing the reduction in ion conductivity.SOLUTION: A fuel battery single cell 1 comprises: a zirconia-based solid electrolyte layer 10: an anode 11 laminated on a first face of the solid electrolyte layer 10; and a Sr-containing cathode 12 laminated on a second face of the solid electrolyte layer 10. The solid electrolyte layer 10 has, on its surface on the side of the cathode 12, lots of flat parts 102 each having a flat face 101, and lots of fallen parts 103 inwardly fallen with respect to the flat faces 101. In the fuel battery single cell, a coating 13 made of a complex oxide including Zr and Ce is stacked on the surface of each flat part 102; and the cathode 12 is joined to the surfaces of the fallen parts 103 and the surfaces of the coatings 13.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
