PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor layer for a dye-sensitized solar cell, capable of increasing photoelectric conversion efficiency, and to provide a dye-sensitized solar cell.SOLUTION: A semiconductor layer 13 provided in a dye-sensitized solar cell 10 comprises a semiconductor having a surface including a first binding site and a second binding site, a first dye adsorbed on the surface and absorbing light in a first wavelength region, and a second dye adsorbed on the surface and absorbing light in a second wavelength region. The first binding site has chemical characteristics different from those of the second binding site. A sensitizing dye bound to the first binding site is contained in the first dye. A sensitizing dye bound to the second binding site is contained in the second dye. The first wavelength region is wider than the second wavelength region. The ratio of the amount of adsorption of the second dye to the amount of adsorption of the first dye is 0.5 or less.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
