PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic device capable of updating firmware of each electronic device at proper timing without any hindrance in a state in which a plurality of electronic devices of the same kind are used.SOLUTION: A first image forming apparatus 100 as an electronic device includes: a communication part 112 which receives data for update of firmware transmitted from an external device 300; an operation part 106 which receives input of time information; a storage part 104 which stores the time information; and a control part 102 which determines whether or not a wait time specified by the time information elapses after the reception of the data for update is completed, and time reaches update start time, and starts to update the firmware using the data for update when reaching the update start time. Consequently, different wait times can be set to respective image forming apparatuses 100, 200, thereby avoiding simultaneous starting of update at the plurality of image forming apparatuses 100, 200.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
