PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To constitute a simple restricting mechanism at low costs in a case where a transmission for an automobile is constituted by combining a H-type shift mechanism and an I-type shift mechanism.SOLUTION: In a transmission for an automobile including a H-type shift mechanism 10 and an I-type shift mechanism 20, a restricting mechanism 40 is composed of a restricting member 41 assembled in a case, engaged with an engagement portion 21a disposed on a fork shaft 21 of the shift mechanism 20 to permit a shifting motion from a neutral position of the fork shaft 21 to an allowable shift position (first speed) and to restrict a shifting motion to a restricted shift position (Rev) at an operating position, and is disengaged from the engagement portion to permit both shifting motions in a retreat position, a spring 42 for energizing the restricting member 41 from the retreat position toward the operating position, and an arm 11b disposed on a shift and select shaft 11 of the shift mechanism 10, and capable of moving the restricting member 41 to the retreat position against the spring 42.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
