PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fiction material composition less in brake vibration during high temperature brake without using copper having high environmental load when used for a disk brake pad for automobiles or the like.SOLUTION: There is provided a friction material composition containing a binder, an organic filler, an inorganic filler and a fiber substrate, having no copper as an element in the friction material composition or the content of the copper of 0.5 mass% or less and containing a steel fiber having fiber length of 2500 μm or less of 2 to 5 mass%.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
