PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering device which inhibits striking sound from being caused by a collision between rolling elements and a holder.SOLUTION: A steering device 1 includes: a first member 37 which integrally rotates with an operation lever 20 rotationally operated; and a third member 70 rotatably supported by a second member 38, which is inhibited from rotating, through a thrust bearing 80 (a friction reduction mechanism). A cam mechanism 40 for placing a fixed side plate 26 in pressure contact with a column side plate 23 includes: an axial facing surface 37a provided at the first member 37 and in which a cam surface 44 is formed; an axial facing surface 70a provided at the third member 70; balls 41 (rolling elements) disposed between the axial facing surfaces 37a, 70a; and a resin holder 90 which has a pocket 91 for housing the balls 41 and is inhibited from rotating by the second member 38.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
