PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a square type secondary battery module that can detect deterioration caused by a strain repetitively occurring due to charging/discharging, detect deterioration of a cell holder itself and prevent damage.SOLUTION: In a secondary battery module in which plural lithium ion secondary batteries each having a power generation element including a positive electrode and a negative electrode housed in a battery can are laminated and fixed by a cell holder, the cell holder has a portion which comes into contact with the wide side surface of the secondary battery located at the outermost position out of the laminated lithium ion secondary batteries. The portion coming into contact with the wide side surface is provided with a strain gauge, the strain gauge is connected to a calculator, the strain gauge and the calculator calculates the strain amount of the portion which is in contact with the wide side surface, and the calculator calculates a strain integrated amount determined from the strain amount and the integration of the strain amount, and outputs a breaking signal when the strain integration amount exceeds a predetermined value.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
