PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of suppressing the influence of the change of the behaviour of a developer, while suppressing reduction in the number of sheets on which an image can be formed per fixed time.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 1 can switch an operation mode. The image forming apparatus 1 includes a conveyance part 20, an image forming part 30, a drive source 95, a replenishment part 69, and a control part 100. The conveyance part 20 conveys a sheet P. The image forming part 30 includes a developing part 52 for performing development with the developer and forms the image on the sheet P by using the developer. The drive source 95 drives the conveyance part 20 and the image forming part 30. The replenishment part 69 replenishes the developer to the developing part 52. The control part 100 controls the drive source 95, so as to change the conveyance speed of the sheet P, switches the operation mode, when the replenishment start condition of the developer is established after the conveyance speed of the sheet P is changed, and controls the replenishment part 69, so as to replenish the developer, after the operation mode is switched.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
