PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that when an initial position of a piston is deviated from a stroke center position in motoring of a free piston type dynamo, excessive correction force occurs, and a device may be damaged.SOLUTION: A control device 18 gradually increases the amplitude of reciprocated movement of a piston 14 in motoring of the piston 14, and gradually changing the center of the amplitude of the reciprocated movement of the piston 14 from a motoring start position to a stroke center position in a cylinder 12.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
