PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wave gear device of which durability against an excessive rotating force inputted through a low speed rotating shaft is improved.SOLUTION: A wave gear device 100 includes an annular rigid internal gear 11, an annular flexible external gear 12 arranged inside of a radial direction of the rigid internal gear, and a wave generator 13 arranged inside of a radial direction of the flexible external gear and rotated faster than the flexible external gear. The wave generator flexes the flexible external gear in a radial direction and partially engages it with the rigid internal gear to cause its engaging position to be moved in a peripheral direction and further the rigid internal gear and the flexible external gear having a difference in the number of teeth to be rotated in a relative manner. The flexible external gear has an axial extending cylinder 121 and a disk part 122 extending from one end of the cylinder in a radial direction. The wave gear device has a low speed rotating shaft 2, a torque transmitting member 3 fixed to the low speed rotating shaft, and a torque limiting device 4 for limiting a torque transmittance from the disk part to the torque transmitting member.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
