PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable accurate specification of the start position of, for example, a highlight scene in such a sport scene which is some kind of scene for which it is difficult to predict the switching timing between offense and defense, for example.SOLUTION: In a highlight scene determining device 30, a video data acquisition unit 41 acquires video data of a sport scene, a motion vector calculator 51 calculates a motion vector from the video data, a movement direction change determining unit 53 determines on the basis of the change of the direction of the motion vector whether the movement direction of a screen varies, a movement amount change determining unit 55 determines on the basis of the change of the amplitude of the motion vector whether the movement amount of the screen varies greatly, a start point candidate determining unit 56 determines the occurrence time points of these changes as plural candidate time points of a starting point of a highlight scene, and an event detector 42 detects occurrence of an event in the scene, and a start point determining unit 43 determines a time point nearest to the occurrence of the event out of the plural candidates as the start point for the highlight scene.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
