The present specification discloses a secondary battery. The secondary battery comprises: an electrode assembly; an electrode lead which is welded to an electrode tab extended from the electrode assembly and forms a penetration hole; and a cap plate which is welded and combined to an opening of a case for accommodating the electrode assembly and the electrode lead. A protrusion unit which is protruding toward the inside of the case is riveted to the penetration hole. The cap plate forms a rivet groove in a peripheral region of the protrusion unit. According to the present invention, a phenomenon, in which the cap plate stretches when the protrusion unit is riveted through the penetration hole of the electrode lead, can be prevented by forming the rivet groove around the protrusion unit which is protruding from the lower side of the cap plate. |
