PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mirror driving device which is effective in reducing the noise of mirror drive and suppressing a bound and capable of highly accurately controlling a mirror drive position with a simple configuration and to provide an imaging apparatus.SOLUTION: The mirror driving device includes a main mirror which is rotatable in a mirror down position where the main mirror is located in a photographic optical path and a mirror up position where the main mirror is located outside the photographic optical path, driving means which rotates the main mirror, focus detection means which includes first detection means receiving an incident luminous flux and performs focus detection by using the incident luminous flux, a sub-mirror which is rotated in conjunction with the main mirror and in which a pattern which can be detected by the first detection means is formed, sub-mirror driving means which rotates the sub-mirror in conjunction with the drive of the main mirror, and control means which controls the driving means by using the light quantity distribution of a part including an area corresponding to the pattern detected by the first detection means.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
